GRANADINES RECIPES: NATILLAS

Before giving the recipe we would like to clarify that the origin of this recipe is unknown but it appears in the recipe book of Grenadian Cuisine of the Diputación De Granada, so we only spread this recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 4 Tablespoons of Sugar.
  • 1 l of milk
  • 5 egg yolks.
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 Lemon rind.
  • 2 Tablespoons of Maizena.

Elaboration:

Heat the milk in a saucepan with the sugar and lemon peel to the boiling point. Apart beat the yolks with cornstarch and add a little warm milk, taking care not to be lumps. add the mixture to the milk stirring without stopping and at low heat for 15 minutes, until the foam that forms on the surface has disappeared. Pour into a deep bowl or into individual bowls and allow to cool. Sprinkle with cinnamon before serving.
